One of the key pieces to any fabulous wardrobe is a pencil skirt. Pencil skirts are simple, classic and timeless. And the quickest and easiest way to put together a professional look with very little effort. Your options are endless...a crisp white tailored shirt, blouse, sweater or blazer. Add a few accessories and you are out the door.

I decided to challenge myself to make at least one (1) skirt a week from now until the end of the year to help build my wardrobe. The pattern I will use is McCalls 3830. This is such an easy pattern and there are many ways to alter it and add interest to the look.
